Detailed Itinerary

Day 1
Welcome to Colombia
Arrival at the airport of Bogota, the Andean capital, and transport to your hotel.

Day 2
Visit to the Montserrate and historic centre
Monserrate Hill rises to 3,152 meters above sea level in the Andean Cordillera, offering stunning views over Bogotá and its surrounding valley. The Basilica of the Señor de Monserrate, originally built in 1925 in a neoclassical style and later remodeled in a neocolonial style, crowns the summit. Discover Bogotá like a local on a walking tour through the city’s most authentic areas. Explore La Candelaria, the capital’s historic colonial district, and wander through its vibrant squares and traditional markets. This immersive experience offers a unique insight into local culture and everyday life in Bogotá.

Day 3
From Bogotá to Bosque del Saman
Private transport from your hotel to Bogota airport and from Pereira airport to the hotel.
Once settled in, we will start with a ride on the highest and longest zip line in the café area within the hotel. Then we will discover the entire process of artisan coffee production, from the harvesting of the beans to the final product in the coffee plantations around the hacienda.

Day 4
Cocora valley and Salento
Early departure from Salento to the Cocora Valley to begin our hike. Following our guide along scenic trails, we discover an extraordinary landscape where the towering wax palms—Colombia’s national tree—create a truly surreal setting.
After lunch in the Cocora Valley, we return to Salento in the afternoon for a guided visit of this charming village.

Day 5
Visit to the Santa Rosa thermals
Private transport will take you from Salento to Termales Santa Rosa (round trip).

Day 6
From Salento to Carthagène
Let us follow in the footsteps of the famous pirates and let us be surprised by the “Pearl of the Caribbean”, a city with a mixed and exotic heritage whose cultural richness can only surprise us. This excursion takes us back to the colonial era, with its colourful houses and lively parks. It is therefore an opportunity, during this walk, to go back in time and relive some of the highlights of the history of the city, the second Spanish stronghold established on the South American continent. Cartagena has suffered repeated attacks from pirates, the most famous of whom was Captain Francis Drake! We discover the beauty of its monuments, squares, churches and walls, witness to times gone by but which still defy the horizon.

Day 7
Traditional fishing in La Boquilla
You will depart early from your hotel to La Boquilla, a fishing village where an Afro-Cartagenian community lives. There, local fishermen will share their fishing techniques including how to catch crabs and how to throw nets. Then, you will discover the secrets of Caribbean cuisine and learn how to cook fish and crabs with coconut rice. Return to Cartagena at the beginning of the afternoon.

Day 8
A day in paradise
Enjoy a relaxing day on an island in the Rosario Archipelago, surrounded by breathtaking scenery and the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea.
Meet at the pier to board a boat to Isla Grande, the largest island in the archipelago. Upon arrival, a welcome cocktail and presentation of optional activities—such as snorkeling, a mangrove tour, or a visit to the aquarium—will help you plan your day. Relax on the white-sand beach and swim in crystal-clear waters before returning by boat to Cartagena in the late afternoon.

Day 9
Enf of the adventure
