Detailed Itinerary
Day 1
Welcome to Panama
We will meet you in the airport lobby, pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. (40min – 14.8km). Arrival at your charming hotel, installation. First of all, we will start with a dinner to get acquainted. Tristan will give a slide show and a briefing of the tour.
Day 2
Panamá City – Gamboa
Early morning departure by private vehicle from the hotel to the foot of Cerro Ancon to begin a walk of about half an hour to reach the top of the hill where the Panamanian flag flies proudly over the canal and offers a superb view of the city. Rich flora and fauna flourish on its slopes, making this short climb even more enjoyable. After the tour, the private vehicle will take you to the village of Gamboa, to board a speedboat to navigate the famous waters of the Panama Canal, a maze of islands and lakes. Day 3
Embera Puru
Departure from the hotel in a 4×4 vehicle for a one-hour drive to the small port of Puerto Corotu to board a traditional dugout canoe to the village of Embera Puru. You will learn about the daily life of the community and share precious moments during a traditional lunch. During this two-hour activity, you can swim in the nearby rivers, or follow the “Botanico” on his forest walks to learn about the benefits of using plants in traditional Embera medicine or to learn about ritual tattooing. Night at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort in a standard room with a view of the garden. You will be accompanied by a guide.
Day 4
San Blas Islands
Discover the well-kept secret of the Kuna Indians, more than 360 pearls of white sand scattered among the turquoise waters of the Caribbean along the Panamanian coast… paradise on earth just a short distance from the coast. Private transportation (both ways) from the hotel in Panama City to the port of Barsukun (or Carti) to take the boat to the San Blas Islands
Day 5
San Blas Islands
After breakfast, we will go to Gorgy Island (depending on the weather conditions). You will discover a paradise island, without tourists and a perfect place for snorkeling. After a meal on the beach organized by the crew, you will reach Sugar where you will spend the night. Dinner will be taken on board.
Day 6
San Blas Islands
This morning, departure for an hour of navigation towards the magnificent island of Coco Bandero. This heavenly place with turquoise waters is perfect for swimming and exploring the sea bed. You will also have the opportunity to kayak between the islands. After lunch on board, we will head to Kuanidup for the night.
Day 7
San Blas – Panamá City
Our escapade in the San Blas is coming to an end. You will have free time to enjoy the sea all morning and then a fresh lunch.In the afternoon, you will sail to the mainland and the port of Carti, where the 4×4 will be waiting for you for the transfer to your hotel in Panama City. In the evening, we will take a transport from the Casco Viejo area to the Punta Pacifica area to have a cocktail at the JW Marriott terrace.
Day 8
End of the adventure
A private vehicle will take you from your hotel to the Tocumen International Airport.
