Mesa de los Santos was founded on 1 January 1750. The municipality of Santos is located on the Jéridas plateau and has been inhabited by different indigenous communities such as the Chibcha, the Muiscas and the Guanes.
It is a characteristic place because of its organic coffee plantations of very good quality and recognized worldwide. The Mesa de los Santos has several viewpoints that allow us to observe the Cañon del Chicamocha, the Saldo del Duendo, the paths of the German Georg von Lengerke, the village of los Santos, among others…
There is also a cable car system that connects different places in the Chicamcocha National Park (Panachi). In addition to all these cultural activities, it is also possible to discover the typical Santander villages of the region. It is an ideal place for ecotourism and for different activities such as hiking, paragliding and abseiling.
