1st option: Starting at dawn to watch the birds with your local guide.
Breakfast at the lodge and departure to visit the artisan community of Macedonia. In this community, the majority of people are wood carvers and create fantastic redwood objects called “blood sticks”. This community also produces baskets and jewelry with seeds and feathers.
Return to the lodge for lunch. Departure to visit the island of Mocagua, opposite to the reserve, with its inland lake and its unique flora and fauna. Visit the natural canals of the Amazon River on the Peruvian coast to watch the pink dolphins in a fantastic place where females bring their new-born world. Return to the lodge and rest.
You will have the opportunity to prepare a delicious recipe of fish wrapped in leaves and seasoned with a variety of peppers that are only found in this region. Night at the lodge.
2nd option: You will visit Puerto Nariño and the lakes of Tarapoto (about one hour and a half trip on the river to arrive to this wonderful lake). Here, visitors can take a bath. Return to Puerto Nariño to have lunch. This village is known as the most ecological one in Colombia. There is no car nor motorcycle, everything is one by foot and the community feeling is really pleasant. Night at the lodge.
