DAY 2: BOGOTA
 |
In the morning, discover the city center of Bogotá. The walking tour of the capital will lead you to the most authentic places. The colonial center, la Candelaria, is a charming place with its brightly colored houses, balconies of carved wood and flowery patios. You will visit the Plaza de Bolivar and the Chorro de Quevedo Plaza with its artists and colonial houses.

In the afternoon you will visit the Gold Museum where you can find Latin America’s largest collection of pre-Columbian gold objects, numbering over 30000, as well as beautiful emeralds.
You will also visit the Botero Museum which has a large collection of this famous Colombian artist’s works as well as other masterpieces by some of the greatest impressionist and modernist artists (entrance to the museum included). Free time in the evening.

DAY 3: BOGOTA –
THE COFFEE REGION

Breakfast in the hotel. Transportation to Bogota airport to take your flight to the coffee region.
Flight Bogota -> Armenia.
Transportation to your accommodation, a hacienda typical of the region.
In the afternoon, you will have a guided tour of the plantations and see the production of the coffee. You will learn all the secrets of Colombian coffee and what makes it so unique.
Free time at the end of the day to enjoy the swimming pool and the surrounding area. Diner in the hacienda.

DAY 4: COCORA VALLEY

Breakfast and departure to Salento with your local guide. You will discover the Coffee Region and its coffee, banana and pineapple plantations. Arriving in Salento, you will continue to el Valle de Cocora where you can find the palma de cera (the wax palm, national tree of Colombia).
A walk lasting 1h30 and free time for lunch (local specialty: the trout).
In the afternoon, back to Salento for a walking tour of this traditional town. Back to your finca to spend the evening and night.

DAY 5: QUINDIO VILLAGE

This excursion will be an opportunity for you to visit the traditional villages of the Quindio region. During this tour in a 4x4, you will be able to appreciate the wonderful landscapes of the area, and you will visit several villages such as Córdoba, Pijao, Buenavista, Filandia (may be modified)… You will make regular stops to appreciate the landscape and take pictures.

DAY 6: PEREIRA – MEDELLIN
 |
After Breakfast, you will be taken to Medellin, the second city of Colombia. The city of eternal spring, as its kind and hard-working inhabitants nicknamed it, is also known for the richness of its cultural activities, the diversity of its museums, theatres and art galleries, a hectic nightlife of tango and the many bars and nightclubs.
Get settled in you hotel.
In the afternoon, you will go an a panoramic tour of the city including a visit to el Pueblito Paisa, el Parque San Antonio, la Plazuela de San Ignacio, the avenue La Playa, the Metropolitan Church and a stop in la Plaza Botero. Then you will visit “la zona norte” where you can find la Casa de la Musica, la Universidad de Antioquia, and the Botanical Gardens.
The last stop will be in the Plaza Mayor convention and exhibition center. From there you can appreciate the Theatro Metropolitano, el Edificio Inteligente, and el Parque de los Pies Delcalzos. Then back to Poblado, visiting el Parque de las Luces on the way.
Free time in the evening.

DAY 7: GUATAPE
 |
During this day, you will visit the surroundings of Medellin: the famous rock El Peñol, where, from the top, you will discover incredible landscapes of lagoons and the village of Guatapé, classed as a natural and environmental heritage site.
Typical Paisa lunch in the village.
Back to Medellin in the afternoon. Free time in the evening.

DAY 8: MEDELLIN - NUQUI

In the morning, you will be transported to Medellin airport to take your flight to Nuqui and the Pacific Coast.
Reception in Nuqui airport and transportation by boat to the beaches of Guachalito.
Lunch on la Playa del Cantil.
Visit to “la Cascada del Amor” waterfall and back to your eco-lodge, located next to the Pacific Ocean.
Whales can be seen off the Pacific Coast from June to mid-October, but off-season whale watching is replaced by a walk in the jungle.

DAY 9: LOS TERMALES

Departure for a sea journey to observe the whales.
Lunch on El Cantil beach and free time in the afternoon.

Back to Nuqui by boat.
